SLATE PR, an independently-owned entertainment public relations firm specializing in talent publicity, is currently seeking a Publicist in Los Angeles. We are looking for a highly-driven and enthusiastic candidate with exceptional communication and writing skills, is detail-oriented and resourceful, has the ability to multi-task, and the capacity to think on his/her feet in a fast-paced environment.

Some responsibilities include:
• Manage and execute day to day aspects and long-term activities on client accounts.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of key media targets and maintain strong industry and media relationships.
• Create project-based media campaigns and implement a wide range of media outreach activities.
• Develop tactical media strategies that align with client goals to ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality.
• Craft compelling narratives and create effective client positioning.
• Secure new business and build client roster.
• Possess a high level understanding of our business and drive forward inventive thinking and new approaches to ensure the best business impact.
• Mentor and counsel junior colleagues on relationship building and client servicing.
• Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends and have the ability to travel on an as needed basis.

Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in Publicity field
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in PR or communications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Word
• Proficient in Cision and other entertainment research based programs
• Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Strong knowledge of the entertainment industry and have established media contacts
• Proven ability to anticipate needs and be resourceful
