Position Overview:
Slacker Media Group is seeking a highly organized, experienced, and detail-driven Director of Operations to oversee and manage all operational aspects of our touring event brands. This individual will report directly to the CEO and play a critical leadership role in scaling our infrastructure, improving efficiency, and ensuring seamless execution of every event.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations across all active brands and touring markets
Manage and optimize workflows for event production, ticketing, staffing, travel, and logistics
Travel to & from key events across the US to handle on-site operations
Advance, manage, and settle events both on-site & remotely
Build and lead a high-performing team including event staff, regional vendors, and contractors
Develop and maintain SOPs, timelines, budgets, and checklists for each event series
Coordinate closely with marketing and venue partners to ensure operational alignment
Analyze performance data and implement process improvements to drive profitability and efficiency
Handle vendor sourcing and contract negotiations for production, sound, travel, and other services
Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and insurance requirements for all events
Work cross-functionally with CEO & Marketing to manage event budgets and streamline reporting systems
Qualifications:
5+ years experience in operations, production, or logistics within the live music or entertainment industry
Proven track record managing multi-city event tours or large-scale productions
Strong organizational and project management skills with extreme attention to detail
Experience building and managing teams under tight timelines and budgets
Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Proficiency with Airtable, Google Workspace, and project management tools preferred
