
Technical Artist Support Specialist

As a Technical Artist Support, you will be responsible for helping assigned departments to solve basic technical issues.
Responsibilities
• Fixes the issues in the assigned scenes.
• Helps artists to solve simple bugs.
• Reviews pending tickets.
• Assists artists when issues arise in the day-to-day processes of the department – eg. Creating work scenes, publishing work, preparing renders for dailies, etc.
• Tests libraries such as Houdini's HDAs and prototypes.
• Updates basic documentation. Reviews and updates the technical documentation related to the workflows and tools of the department that they support.
• Is responsible for asset assemblies and updates.
• Attends technical meetings to as requested, to keep trained and updated in the new studio/department tools, pipelines, workflows, etc.
• Keeps up on current artistic methodologies and on technology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company in the development of a stronger creative and technical environment.
• Is willing to learn new workflows and proactively contribute to making them more efficient.
• Assists other team members when necessary.
• Follows the department supervisor and leads' instruction.
• Has the ability to multi-task, collaborate with TDs or TAs.
Requirements
• 5 years in VFX or animation industries.
• 1 years in the animation industry is desirable.
• Strong artistic or/and technical aptitude related to 3D animation is a must.
• Knowledge of some 3D animation area (Modeling, Surfacing, Animation, Lighting).
• Experience in any 3D animation Software (Maya, Max, or Houdini).
• Ability to write simple scripts a big plus.
• Medium /high English level desirable.
• Spanish desirable.
