Layout Technician

This is a Full Time Job

As a Layout TD you will collaborate with Layout Artists to pre-visualize sequences, set up the files, give support and solve technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Sets up files for the Layout Artists.
• Models low polygon sets.
• Solves technical problems.
• Makes simple viewport FX.
• Does simple Rigging.
• Works with internal tools to publish the shots.
• Keeps up on current artistic methodologies and technology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company in developing a stronger creative and technical environment.
• Breaks down the scenes properly and manages own work.
• Collaborates with other team members, when necessary.
• Follows the Supervisor's and Lead´s guidance.

Requirements
• 1-3 years in VFX or animation industries.
• 1 years in the animation industry is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Maya is a must.
• Demonstrable artistic skills including a strong sense of composition and perspective, the ability to create atmosphere and good understanding of editing is a plus.
• Knowledge of animation is a plus.
• Understands cameras, staging, composition, pacing, timing, general film-making concepts, both in animation and live action contexts is a plus.
• Comfortable creating basic assets.
• Respect for the procedures and requirements of the studio, production and pipeline.
• Programming in Python is desirable.
• High English level desirable.
• Spanish desirable
