Skydance Sports is looking for a Coordinator to join the Business & Legal Affairs team supporting scripted and unscripted projects across features and television series. This position will support the SVP and VP including managing calendars, document preparation and tracking, and facilitating the execution of legal agreements. The ideal candidate has experience within the entertainment industry or at a law firm, stellar organization skills, strong attention to detail, and an ability to perform in a fast-paced, collegial environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support to Executives including heavy calendar management
• Screen and respond to incoming calls and email correspondence
• Manage communication with internal and external contacts including staff and management, agents, executives, creative talent, legal teams, etc.
• Create, maintain, and organize shared databases, electronic filing systems, and project management lists
• Redline and version compare agreements
• Draft, format, review, and revise correspondence and other written materials including agreements, letters, memos, cover sheets, and other legal documents
• Handle regular distribution and facilitate execution of agreements and documentation to Executives
• Research and advise on matters regarding to clearance, guild, and other legal issues
• Coordinate with productions regarding day-to-day Business & Legal Affairs services
• Prepare and process outside counsel bills, vendor bills, etc.
• Compile documentation and submit monthly expense reports, as needed
• Ad hoc projects and duties as required, such a filing, copying, expenses, preparing agendas/resolutions for meetings
Requirements
• 2 years administrative experience, within Entertainment Business Affairs and/or Legal capacity preferred
• Juris Doctor Degree, a plus
• California Bar Exam passage, a plus
• Working knowledge of entertainment landscape (e.g. agencies, law firms)
• Strong proficiency with MS Software (Word, Excel, Outlook), DocuSign a plus
• Experience formatting, redacting, comparing, and editing PDFs utilizing Adobe Acrobat
• Effective and efficient written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills; ability to interface with staff, other administrators, senior management, external contacts
• Proven ability to manage and disseminate a high volume of information and material flowing through the department punctually, properly, and confidentially; high level of integrity and discretion is a must
• Self-motivated and proactive; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload efficiently, and meet strict deadlines for completing tasks
• Excellent organizational skills with superior follow-through and follow-up
The hourly range for this non-exempt position in Los Angeles is $29.00-31.00. The rate offered may vary based on the candidate's location, qualifications, experience and relevant expertise, among other factors. The range indicated is for base salary only and does not reflect the total compensation package, including bonus, benefits, etc.
