ASSISTANT CONTROLLER
The Assistant Controller is primarily responsible for the preparation of periodic financial reporting on the operations of all consolidated entities of SK Global Entertainment, Inc (SKG). In addition, position is focused on revenue collection, guild residual and participation reporting for all SKG'S current and library titles. This position reports directly to the SVP, Finance and Controller.
Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
• Film ultimates: prepare periodic reporting of SKG film ultimates including the following:
o Track and record monthly revenue and cost fluctuations.
o Review and post deferred revenue receipts and recognize revenue.
o Forecast and rebalance film amortization.
• Participations & Residuals: compile report of film performance by title for the calculation of third-party participation and residual payments. Issue participation statements as required and coordinate all revenue reporting for guild residual purposes.
• Financial reporting: prepare financial statement packages.
• Cash management: Assist with cash forecasting and management for production and overhead activity.
• Compile and communicate information provided to financial and tax auditors.
• Perform special projects as needed in support of the finance team.
Qualifications/Specific Job Skills/Core Competencies/ Experience/Education:
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Must be detail oriented with excellent follow through.
• Must be a dedicated and reliable team player, able to take initiative and follow through on all tasks.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook, and BC365 accounting software preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance; 5 years related accounting experience required.
