Search for Director, Financial Planning and Analysis jobs in Santa Monica-CA
• Financial planning and forecasting (operating plan, latest estimates - P&L and cash flows)
• Presentation and reporting of projections (Monthly/Quarterly)
• liaison with accounting to produce variance analysis and cashflow timing
• Business case evaluation of partnerships, Co-production, Co-Financing opportunities
• Work closely wit Business Affairs and Production heads in modeling projects' economics and related waterfall.
• Lead the implementation of FP&A system (Microsoft Solver) in design of forecast models, key drivers, decay curves and seasonality assumptions
• Assist CFO in strategic analysis with regards to potential M&A, Partnerships, or other investment opportunities
• Assist in Process Improvement projects (financial & operational)
• Provide strong technical leadership, implementing best practices
• Articulate and concise presentation skills
• Lead cross functional teams in ad hoc projects
• This position currently reports to Corporate Chief Financial officer
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, economics or related field
• Minimum 7 years' progressive finance or business experience
• 3 years experience in Film or TV production business

• Analytical abilities including using limited/missing, inconsistent or manual data to draw needed conclusions
• Interpersonal and leadership capability with ability to influence diverse/cross-functional teams
• Problem solver and project manager with the ability to prioritize and lead a process to meet required objectives
• Able to initiate, communicate and lead change, often many at once, despite resistance and competing priorities
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Microsoft BC and Solver skills strongly preferred
