Situation, a digital-first agency building passionate communities for live experience-based clients like Wicked, We Will Rock You and Choir of Man, seeks a Senior Account Manager to join our growing UK team to lead the day-to-day management of several high-profile live entertainment clients both strategically and tactically. This role will report to the Director of Client Services and the selected candidate will demonstrate a strong passion for our clients' financial and brand awareness success, an understanding of the paid, owned and earned digital media landscape, the ability to shift seamlessly between strategic direction and tactical execution and possess a strong collaborative mindset with both external teams (client and partners) and our internal teams.
What You'll Do
This role is seen as the day-to-day lead from the Client Services team on the accounts they will be assigned to. This includes collaborating with internal teams to execute our work, interfacing on a consistent basis with external stakeholders and providing excellent service for our clients and motivating internal teams to do our best work. While not a managerial role, this position is meant to be seen as a leader on the accounts they work on and the ability to work with multiple teams, personalities and people is key. This role also includes budget management, leading weekly meetings (internal and external), managing high-stress moments and exemplifying stellar ''managing up'' skills to their supervisor.
Our office is located in Holborn, London and we are currently working in-office three days per week.
Sample Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Work in concert with the internal team to execute strategic digital plan
- Provide forward-thinking awareness and actions to ensure the team is anticipating client/campaign needs
- Develop client relationships with clients and other agencies
- Have a strong understanding of the social landscape, digital media & analytics
- Work in collaboration with Exec Director of Client Services, Media, Search and Creative teams to ensure messaging, targeting and reporting are in lock step with campaign objectives
- Lead client meetings, inclusive of creating meeting agendas and managing up to account oversight prior to the meeting
- Lead client-specific kick-offs for planning periods and projects which includes the creation of kick-off briefs
- Maintain client budgets and approve weekly invoices.
- Understand the client's business objectives and what makes them tick
- Actively work to spend budget in full and stay on top of media and production spend pacing
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in an account management role at an advertising agency or in-house marketing manager.
- Understanding of the digital and traditional media landscape and commitment to continue to learn, grow and expand the knowledge in this space.
- Comfortable leading meetings with C-Suite level clients, including taking tough questions, celebrating big wins and making strategic real-time recommendations.
- Proven ability to collaborate with multiple teams across different disciplines and passion for bringing it all together.
- Familiarity with budgeting, invoice tracking and financial pacing and reporting (as supported by Leadership).
- Passion for live entertainment, live events and arts and culture is a major plus but not required.
- A tactical understanding of google analytics, social platforms, media reporting and digital/online trends.
