Full Time Job
Simon & Schuster is seeking a Sales Associate to support the National Account Manager for digital audio. The Sales Associate will manage the relationship with Kobo, Hoopla, Libro.fm, and Storytel and act as the primary point of contact for metadata or asset issues/updates.
Responsibilities:
Account management
Act as the main point of communication for all of the following accounts:
• Kobo - Lead a monthly call to discuss any outstanding issues and review focus titles; monitor and suggest titles for promotion; flag major title announcements, changes to titles, or metadata updates; send bonus content added to our shared drive; curate boxes of galleys to send, create opportunities within Kobo's promotional offerings to reach new audiobook listeners; provide monthly sales reporting
• Hoopla - Curate monthly lists for editorial opportunities and conduct monthly calls to review drafting opportunities for upcoming titles for the PPU model. provide monthly sales reporting
• Libro.fm - Lead seasonal calls to review upcoming books; select monthly ALCs for various distribution lists; curate a list of Children's and YA titles for monthly promotions; submit titles for influencer outreach; send bonus content added to our shared drive; provide monthly sales reporting
• Storytel - Lead monthly calls to talk about recently published titles (this differs from other accounts); manage approval for specific marketing requests; provide monthly sales reporting
Account Assistance
• Assist accounts that are missing or have incorrect audio assets and/or metadata
• Inform all accounts of changes to audio masters or assets
• Send operations notifications to all accounts
• Communicate price promotions to all accounts
Audible
• Communicate all changes in metadata or assets, including daily and weekly reports
• Monitor title placement in editorial features
• Assist in creation of PowerPoint presentations for seasonal calls
• Present a portion of titles seasonally
• Assist in addressing errors found on audio master files
Weekly Reporting
• Upload Apple Catalog to our FTP to facilitate linking on simonandschuster.com
• Map new release placement at our largest accounts every week
• Track bestsellers once a week
• Create and send a publicity report every week with upcoming titles and major publicity hits to all accounts
Distribution Client and International Assistance
• Answer questions from distribution clients and sister companies as they break into the audio space
• Manage operational issues with client file uploads
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous sales account management experience is strongly preferred.
