This is a Full Time Job
The Publishing Coordinator/Associate works closely with the publishing office, marketing, and editorial departments and will report to the Associate Publisher. This is a unique opportunity to work across all Simon & Schuster titles with a concentration on the robust backlist.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and execute paperback publishing plans for frontlist trade paper titles.
Work with Associate Publisher to schedule and coordinate agendas for in-house sales meetings
• Backlist management â€'' identify opportunities and implement Marketing strategy for the S&S backlist
• Attend weekly reprint meeting to review backlist needs
• Organize and circulate materials for in-house meetings and sales conferences, take detailed notes, and prepare follow-up materials
• Distribute weekly POS report & Bookscan report
• Manage bound galley ordering process
• Handle general administrative responsibilities for the Associate Publisher
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• 3 years of relevant experience preferably with trade paperback marketing experience
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, as well as general computer skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Relevant work experience in Publisher's Office or editorial, marketing, publicity, sales
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet quick deadlines
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Interest in and enthusiasm for book publishing

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The annual salary for this position is $54,000.00 - $60,000.00
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
