Digital & Social Marketing Associate (Kids)
Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing is searching for a Digital & Social Marketing Associate (Kids) to manage our parent-focused social media channels as part of our digital marketing department. The Associate will also work with the Senior Digital & Social Marketing Manager (Kids) on developing and executing digital marketing plans for all board book, picture book, chapter book and middle grade titles as well as parent-focused influencer marketing efforts.
Job responsibilities include:
• Daily management of @SimonKids social channels, including planning, creating, and posting content, writing copy, engaging with followers, maximizing reach, growing audience, and regularly reporting on stats/results
• Creating native social content such as Instagram Reels, Instagram Stories, Instagram photos, memes, and any other photos/videos for use on social media channels
• Brainstorming and executing title-specific digital marketing campaigns and maintaining up-to-date digital marketing plans for children's books
• Manage the Simon Kids social influencer program, including research, outreach, communication, mailings, and tracking coverage in coordination with the Senior Digital & Social Marketing Manager (Kids)
• Manage the creation of book roundups and programmable pages on the Simon & Schuster website

• 2-3 years of job experience in social media or marketing role
• Understanding of and passion for social media and high comfort level with all major platforms (Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, etc.)
• Demonstrable knowledge of the children's publishing landscape, including competitive environment
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Extremely detail oriented
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
