How do I hire a Contracts Assistant? The Contracts Assistant's function is to traffic, organize and prepare work-for-hire agreements for print and audio imprints, from the initial phase to the final execution and to assist in drafting copyright pages and copyright registration. The position requires contract research, logging, drafting and filing these work for hire agreements, and daily, extensive interaction with Editorial and audio production departments. Additionally, the assistant will help out as needed on other tasks necessary to the functioning of the Contracts team.
The assistant should be highly organized, attentive to detail and deadlines, and be able to work both independently and collaboratively. Interest in contracts and/or rights licensing preferred.
