Simon & Schuster Audio is seeking an Associate Marketing Manager to join our enthusiastic and collaborative Marketing & Publicity team. In this role, the ideal candidate will develop and execute title-specific marketing campaigns as well as have a hand in shaping our marketing strategy for a line of original audiobooks.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Work day-to-day with authors and their teams (social, website, newsletter, agents, etc.) to find creative ways to highlight the audio format for both traditional audio releases and our new line of audiobook originals which to date include releases from Bob Woodward, Julie Chen Moonves, Star Trek, Christina Lauren, Stephen Graham Jones, William Kent Krueger, and JR Ward.
• Build strong relationships across Simon & Schuster for effective collaboration with imprint marketing teams.
• Liaise with sales, editorial, digital and ad promo departments, work hand in hand with audio production and audio publicity.
• Create compelling marketing assets including behind the scenes interviews, excerpts, copy and more for use in advertising and across Simon & Schuster, author, and account social media channels.
• Maintain a detailed record of frontlist assets trafficked between production and marketing teams; oversee shared marketing/production studio recording schedule.
• Develop thematic and backlist promotional opportunities.
• Partner with Ed/Library to spotlight audio releases and content.
Requirements:
• A minimum of 4 years marketing experience, preferably in the publishing space.
• Experience working directly with authors and their teams, managing campaigns and expectations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Extensive familiarity with copywriting for social media platforms.
• Strong time management skills with a keen ability to juggle multiple ongoing projects, detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, meet tight deadlines, and work independently with good follow-up and follow-through.
• A positive attitude.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel. Familiarity with video editing a big plus.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The annual salary for this position is $65,000.00 - $70,000.00
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
