Advertising & Promotion Assistant

This is a Full Time Job

Simon & Schuster is seeking an energetic assistant with an eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects to join our busy ad/promo imprint specialist team. They will assist our group of dedicated specialists to manage and route a wide array of promotional, advertising, and marketing collateral for a broad range of adult and children's titles including:

• Online paid advertising including designed display ads and paid social media

• Organic social assets including lifestyle images and video

• Printed items such as bookmarks, postcards and stickers

• In-store POP including display corrugation and posters

• Promotional items such as t-shirts and mugs

• Administrative tasks include meeting scheduling, invoice coding, as some well reporting/analysis

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Strong writing experience. Promotional copy writing experience is a plus.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends, including Instagram and TikTok

• Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple projects simultaneously

• Excellent attention to detail, curious and eager to learn, and strong communication skills with a spirit of cooperation

• Enthusiasm to take on a wide variety of new projects and learn applications and ad-based user platforms and dashboards

• Willingness to work with team members in various capacitates across both our children’s and adult publishing teams

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The annual salary for this position is $50,000.00 - $50,000.00

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
