How do I hire an Intern - Marketing and Public Relations? We are a fast growing company that is reaching a national level. We require an unpaid intern to assist in PR and marketing and social media to grow our network and take us to the next level. This is an amazing opportunity to learn in depth about marketing and PR relations, as well as social media in the entertainment industry. Since this is an unpaid position (4 month commitment), we are willing to provide a fantastic learning environment for you to gain experience.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Pitching to local and national TV, digital and print magazines, and local and national radio stations.
Creating and posting multiple social posts daily relating to food, exercise, and spiritual motivation.
Writing 2-4 blog posts a month
Drafting and sending pitches to media outlets.
Researching company's background for possible sponsorship
Assisting Director of Media Relations with all aspects of research and pitching.
Must own a laptop computer.
Must have an interest in social media, public relations and/or marketing.
Must have superior written and verbal communication skills.
Must be familiar with Google Drive.
Must be familiar with Instagram
Preferably familiar with Photoshop and WordPress
Sponsor research and outreach
Event coordinating
Assisting Executive Assistant with TV segments
Qualifications and Skills:
Fast learner
Organized
Work quickly and efficiently
Take direction well
Strong work ethic
Work well under pressure
Mac proficiency and your own laptop to work on
Excellent communication skills
Smart and savvy with amazing writing skills
Be self-confident and be able to handle yourself professionally
Have a passion for entertainment
Willing to gain experience not able to anywhere else
Duration and Location:
The social media Intern will be required to work approximately 20 hours a week. The position begins in July/August and will end December/January 2020 (3-4 months).
The internship will take place in Sherman Oaks, CA. The intern may work from home, and days are flexible, but attending team meetings on one of the allotted days is mandatory.
