Artist Management / Record Label Internship

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Silverback Artist Management is currently interviewing candidates for its 2010 Summer Internship Program. Our active client roster includes Slightly Stoopid, Pepper, Fishbone, The Expendables, The Beautiful Girls, Rebelution, The Aggrolites, and Sublime.

Since their inception over a decade ago, Silverback Management has represented the true independent spirit of the music industry and is regarded as one of the leading independent management firms of its kind.

In 2006 Silverback Management extended their artist services by launching Controlled Substance Sounds Labs; the label arm of Silverback that functions as the company’s main distribution, marketing, and promotions channel for all of their artist’s tours and releases.

As an intern at Silverback, you will learn a great deal about the music industry from both management and label perspectives. Your day-to-day activities will be very hands on, working very closely with full time and executive staff members.

Specific duties will have an emphasis on tour and album campaign coordination, online and viral marketing, as well as day-to-day management activities.

This is an unpaid internship. College credit can be earned, but is not required for all interns. This is a great opportunity for students who are hungry, self-motivated, and interested in learning the over-all workings of the music industry!

Requirements:

• Ability to commit at least 15 hours a week (M-F, 11 AM–6 PM)
• Laptop (Mac preferred) with Microsoft Office and wireless Internet capability
• A CAN-DO attitude and ability to function as a team player
• A genuine appreciation for the artists we represent!
• A reliable means of transportation to our office (Santa Monica and Orange Dr.)
