Spring Intern - Development and Acquisitions

Signature Films is seeking a Summer intern to join the team here in our Beverly Hills office. The main job will entail script coverage and development notes. There will also be other projects. Other duties will include helping to maintain our submission log, updating decks used on the distribution side, evaluating materials and screeners for potential acquisition, and attending meetings to learn. This is a great role for someone interested in producing, creative development, distribution or acquisitions.

Qualities we are looking for:
• understanding of script coverage structure (we will ask for a sample submission!)
• basic idea of what development and distribution entail
• the ability to have a fast turnaround
• proactive and is comfortable with being very honest with their feedback

We would like someone who can be in our Beverly Hills office 2-3 times a week; we can be flexible with which days. This is an unpaid internship, but we will be offering school credit and opportunities to build your network in the entertainment industry. Active enrollment in an accredited college/university is required. We share an office with a well-regarded international sales company, so you will have the opportunity to meet and learn from them as well.
