Business Development Producer

This is a Part Time Job

This is a remote, part-time contract role requiring approximately 8–10 hours per week.

We are looking for a Business Development Producer to help secure new projects, build lasting client relationships, and develop strategic partnerships.

What you’ll do
• Identify projects, companies, and partnerships where Signal House can provide real value.
• Open doors through your existing relationships while continuing to build new ones.
• Help us understand what prospective clients need and determine the right way for Signal House to engage.
• Stay involved as promising conversations become proposals, pilots, software customers, or production work.
• Help shape how we position and grow the company within the nonfiction community.

You are
• A nonfiction professional with at least five years of experience—as a documentary producer, executive producer, development producer, editor, post supervisor, production-company owner, or in a comparable role.
• Trusted by teams making real work and proud of the relationships you have built.
• Comfortable starting conversations and helping move opportunities forward.
• Entrepreneurial enough to enjoy helping build something at an early stage.
• Interested in AI’s potential but not blindly enthusiastic about it.

The role begins part-time, with the intention of becoming full-time as the company grows. We expect to raise capital in the near future, and a successful early relationship would ideally develop into a salaried leadership role.

Compensation
The base retainer is $1,250–$1,500 per month for approximately 8–10 hours per week, plus a flexible commission structure. Because Signal House is early, we can offer greater commission upside now, with the intention of moving toward a salary and a more conventional commission structure if the role becomes full-time.
