Full Time Paid Internship
The Public Relations/Talent Relations & Special Events intern will be responsible but not limited to the following:
• Assemble and create the Daily Publicity Press Clips package for company-wide distribution
• Assist the show publicists with arranging set visits, writing synopses, reviewing photography, writing media alerts, updating Bio's and editing press announcements
• Maintain press contacts, mailing, and invite lists
• Researching projects
• Archiving press clips
• Assist with VIP publicity events such as Summer TCA Press Tour, in-house press screenings, series premieres & awards events
• Researching new venues/restaurants/theaters
• Help arrange messengers
• Update venue contact info
Qualifications:
The internship program will run for eight weeks beginning on June 11, 2018 and ending on August 10, 2018. Students will work full-time, Monday through Friday
Required Qualifications:
• Current undergraduate student (rising Junior or above)
• Strong interest in Cable/Entertainment industry
• 2.50 GPA or above
• Submission of a cover letter is required
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work and prioritize work assignments
• Able to provide administrative support as needed
Desired Qualifications:
• Cable television experience a plus
• Active participation in extracurricular activities; clubs; and/or associations. Leadership positions while maintaining an above-average GPA, a plus
• Prior internship experience in a related field, a plus
Other Qualifications:
• Strong interest in Corporate Communications, Public Relations or Talent Relations
• Excellent phone manner, strong writing & organizational skills are essential.
• Experience working in a fast-paced setting, ability to prioritize projects & multi-tasked in a fast pace work environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Has great attention to detail
• Has utmost discretion when dealing with confidential information.
