Shore Scripts is looking for remote-working script readers and coverage writers.

Shore Scripts is an internationally renowned screenwriting contest and emerging production company.

Our focus is to discover new writing talent and to get our writers' scripts into production. Established in 2012, we are proud to be supported by a panel of Oscar, Bafta, Emmy, and Golden Globe Award-winning Judges, and 200+ affiliated directors, production companies, managers, and agents from around the world.

Shore Scripts is working to advance inclusion in the entertainment industry and increase representation within the screenwriting and filmmaking community.

Joining our reading team is an excellent opportunity to get an inside look at the development process. It's also great for your resume as you establish your career in a highly competitive industry.

Applicants should be able and willing to report on both bespoke coverage for writers wishing to develop their work and score Short, Feature, Fiction Podcast, and TV Pilot screenplays submitted to our contests.

Key Skills Required:
• Be familiar with screenplay formats and layout.
• Be familiar with common scriptwriting practices and key authorities such as Blake Snyder, Robert McKee, John August, etc.
• Understand how to craft a synopsis.
• Be able to write clearly with an empathetic tone.
• Understand the different markets for shorts, features, streaming, and television screenplays.
• Be aware of current developments in the entertainment industry.
