Shelter PR is looking for an events coordinator to support the awards & events team in the Los Angeles office. This position is full-time, based in Los Angeles based in Los Angeles, and will ideally lead to future growth within the department and company. Please put Events Coordinator- LA in the subject line. Responsibilities
The events coordinator is responsible for curating Celebrity & Influencer outreach lists based on current events
Team lead for curating awards outreach lists based on client needs and requests
Responsible for maintaining industry lists inclusive of Celebrities, Influencers and various Guilds
Create assets for each event inclusive of but not limited to: menus, social cards, presentations, badges, wristbands, etc. (experience in Canva)
Send invitations, track RSVPs and create confirmation letters for a wide variety of events
Attend and support all in-person events
Write event recap reports to circulate to clients following events
Create and manage event team documents and meeting agendas
Troubleshoot with team for clients when required
The individual in this role will have the opportunity to be the event lead for tastemaker events
This role will require booking and coordinating with multiple vendors per project
Some administrative duties apply

Requirements
Candidate should be driven, enthusiastic, resourceful, detail-oriented, proactive, and have strong communication and multi-tasking skills for a fast-paced, information heavy environment. Strong writing and proofreading skills are a must. Looking for a professional, confident, and mature demeanor. Strong interest in the entertainment industry preferred. Previous experience (one year minimum) in the entertainment field is required. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe, Excel, and Canva.
Education
High School Degree or GED is required
A BA is required
Eligibility Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Prolong period of standing and walking during events
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to access and navigate each venue the organization services
