The SVP, Partner Marketing is a top leadership role within SHE Media, with significant oversight and management responsibility. S/He is accountable to lead and execute strategy for SHE Media corporate and Collective brand marketing, and the growth and satisfaction of Collective members by way of engagement.
This leader will leverage the expertise and assets of SHE Media and PMC to deliver tangible value to both Collective members (aka ‘Partners’) and to advertisers in one holistic, connective Partnership.
The candidate will lead projects and ongoing activities that require cross-departmental and cross-brand (both SM and PMC) collaboration and accountability. She/he will set goals and priorities for marketing, Partner Marketing, Collective engagement, and service to premium Partners.
This role will oversee two Marketing Managers and two Managers of Engagement/Partner Success with partial oversight of the Director of Collective Sales.
• The role will focus on providing unique advertising products and programs and industry-leading service, growth, and education for members of The Collective.
• This role oversees content and community programming uniting SHE Media’s BlogHer and Collective editorial marketing strategies.
• This role, for clarity, does NOT oversee inventory development, media product, or media operations for The Collective, which will continue to live with our VP of Business Development and Partner Operations respectively.
Working with the sales, business development, and Partner operations teams, along with several stakeholders across SHE Media, the SVP Partner Marketing focuses on building incremental earnings opportunities for independent content creators, while offering unique value to advertisers.
• The role will require triangulation with the Business Development and the Service teams to assist partner retention and acquisition by way of 1:1 management of partner issues, proactively implementing marketing strategy & tactics, identifying growth opportunities for partners, and all-around tackling the ongoing challenge of helping our partners and business recognize the highest value in an ever-changing marketplace.
The team’s familiarity with Partners will also be evidenced in your ability to identify members to put forward to Client Services and Integrated Marketing for Influencer campaigns and pitches, as well as BlogHer event speakers, and editorial features. The team will be accountable for surfacing and recruiting when necessary, Partners for these holistic business needs, and report back to them accordingly. In addition, you will be a primary stakeholder in upholding strict revenue and profit optimization practices using negotiation and creative business terms to fulfill client, BlogHer, and partner needs. Similarly, knowledge of the composition of Partners will support editorial features by BlogHer and SHE Media’s O&O sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking an experienced leader with 10 years in digital media to deliver on the:
• Marketing of the SHE Media brand to Partners and Advertisers
• Designing engagement strategy to build value beyond media inventory
• Brand and audience development service for key Partners within The Collective
With a focus on a combination of:
• Revenue/profit generation and management
• Business development
• Advertising sales
• Brand and audience marketing
• Client service
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 10 years of publisher/sales/marketing experience
• Experience in managing and cultivating talent within an organization
• Advanced knowledge of the ad tech and media landscape
• Marketing sensibility to convert leads from competitive environments i.e. strong knowledge of competitive ad networks and products.
• Experience communicating within the Lifestyle and Entertainment publisher space - an eye for endemic, high-quality website content is crucial.
• Work closely with Partner Success teams to ensure satisfaction throughout onboarding and the life cycle of a partner’ contract
• Ability to produce and present reports, results, and challenges in an executive environment.

“Creator” is used interchangeably with “Publisher” and refers to a content publisher who produces high quality, original content for an audience of, primarily, women ages 18- next life. She/he/they must have a loyal following, proper sourcing and compliance with all local, state and federal laws and a voice/brand that aligns with the SHE Media mission of equity and inclusion.
