Fall Intern - Film Distribution/Research

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

7th Art Releasing, an award-winning, full-service distributor specializing in documentaries, is seeking a passionate and dedicated intern. Our films have received prestigious accolades, including Emmys, Oscars, Independent Spirit Awards, and recognition at Sundance and SXSW. We manage all aspects of distribution, from festivals to theatrical, digital, and broadcast platforms.

What You'll Gain:
As an intern at 7th Art Releasing, you'll dive into the intricate world of film distribution, gaining hands-on experience in how independent films are brought to audiences worldwide. Located in Northeast Los Angeles, we offer a dynamic environment where you'll contribute to the success of our films on a global scale. Key areas of involvement include:
• Research & Market Preparation: Identifying film festivals and non-theatrical exhibition venues.
• Marketing and Outreach: Engaging in traditional marketing campaigns to promote our films.
• Assets Management: Handling and organizing essential film assets.

Internship Details:
• Start Date: Flexible; open to applicants year-round.
• Duration: Minimum commitment of 3 months.
• Schedule: Minimum of 2 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday), with at least 6 hours per day. Preferably in-person, but hybrid arrangements can be accommodated if necessary.

Requirements:
• Education: College credit preferred.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Mac, internet, and general office tasks.
• Attributes: A positive attitude, self-motivation, and a keen interest in learning the film distribution business.
• Interests: A passion for independent films and documentaries.
• Experience: No prior experience necessary, but fluency in English is required.
