Sesame Workshop is looking for a Lead Production Accountant to support children's television shows.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Code invoices from filmmakers for AP data entry based on provided Final Cost Reports in compliance with NYS Tax Program guidance to obtain tax credits
Provide bi-weekly production Cost Reports to Line Producer, Senior Production Accounting Manager, and VP Production Management
Provide PSL GL Detail to Line Producer for tracking
Enter EFC revisions for Show and related sub-budgets
Export Monthly PSL GL detail to map to Sesame Workshop NetSuite GL Import Template
Maintain Project Checking Account, PCard distribution, and Petty Cash reporting
Provide on-site financial support when needed
Set-up house accounts with re-occurring vendors
Manage the weekly payroll distributions
Cash Flows as needed
Process invoices and generate weekly check runs
Prepare EFT and Wire Transfers for supervisor release
Prepare bank reconciliations
Manage Chart of Accounts maintenance
Provides ad-hoc financial analyses
Manage a billing and payment schedule
Advise Production on tax credit-related processes and issues
Participate in Tax Credit Application preparation and audit
Consults with:
Corporate Finance
Legal Affairs
Line Producer
Producers
Production Managers
Production Coordinators
Human Resources
Payroll
Crew
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
At least 10 years of work in TV Production Accounting
Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word,
Movie Magic Budgeting a must
PSL accounting experience a must
Cast and Crew Payroll experience a must
Experience with New York State Tax Credits a must
Experience with PCards, JPMorgan Access, Concur, NetSuite, JournyX, and other Production Accounting programs a plus
