Show Operator II - Audio

This is a Part Time Job

This position is for AUDIO only.

Primary Purpose:
Team member is responsible for operating technical equipment respective to their specific theatrical discipline (i.e. Audio, Lighting, Video, Stagehand and/or Follow Spot) during public performances, rehearsals and special events. Additionally, team member will maintain technical equipment and assist in training as needed.

Basic Requirements:

¦Must be at least 16 years old; Must be at least 18 years old for certain venues
¦In the process of completing a High School Diploma or equivalent
¦Must have prior technical training and/or experience in a specific theatrical discipline (i.e. Audio, Lighting, Video, Stagehand and/or Follow Spot)
¦Basic knowledge of audio production, theatrical lighting, sound systems and scenic design.
¦Must have a working knowledge of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
¦Must possess basic computer/Window's software knowledge.
¦Ability to work as a team player, communicate and resource with internal and external team members.
¦Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays.
¦Must be willing to walk and stand for long periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
¦Must be able to swim

Duties and Responsibilities:

¦Learning and operating technical tracks as specified by discipline (Audio, Lighting, Video, Stagehand and/or Spotlight).
¦Assisting in the training and development of technical venue personnel.
¦Daily inspection and maintenance of technical equipment related to specific discipline (Audio, Lighting, Video, Stagehand and/or Spotlight).
¦Assists with cleaning and maintaining of the venue.
¦Work with cast and crew to maintain the safety and integrity of the show and venue.
¦Responsible for promoting a positive image, setting a professional example and following guidelines.
¦Maintain a helpful disposition at all times.
¦Perform other duties as assigned.
