Full Time Job
The Seattle Storm is seeking a professional, detail-oriented individual with a background in communications or broadcast to support Storm telecasts. This position will report to the SVP of Corporate Partnership and Social Responsibility and work closely with the Public Relations Manager. The job will require 20 hours a week in the office addition to all Storm regular-season home games. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with all aspects of producing 18 live basketball games
• Game Day Duties include:
• Act as the Timeout Coordinator during games working as the liaison between the broadcast truck and referees.
• Monitor commercial logs
• Prep producer for each telecast with spot logs, commercial content, promotional reads and graphics
• Be an active participant in all aspects of the broadcast during the game, including control room monitoring and decision-making, talent communication, and clock/time coordination
• Work with Public Relations Manager to facilitate pre-game and halftime interviews with players, coaching staff and others

Responsibilities
include:
• Manage implementation of strategic initiatives and organizational messaging via Storm broadcast
• Collaborate with multiple departments and achieve key objectives in each broadcast including but not limited to Corporate Partnerships, Marketing and PR
• Manage and organize the spot log and on-air talent script leading into each game
• Organize broadcast content for proof of performance and corporate partners recaps
• Assist with other miscellaneous projects as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES
• Interested in pursuing a career in sports marketing, broadcast or communications
• Exceptional project management skills are essential
• Attention to detail is a critical function of this role. Must be very organized
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment is important. Must have the ability to problem solve on the spot
• A flexible schedule is vital, as the demands of the job will include weekend and evening hours
• Because of the nature of the department's projects, a strong knowledge of the Seattle Storm and the WNBA is essential
• Adhere to Seattle Storm organization policies and procedures
• Act as a role model within and outside the Storm organization
• Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
• Meet department productivity standards
