We have an exciting Publicity Coordinator opportunity with the Searchlight Pictures team.
Responsibilities:
• Run talent approvals on materials including unit photos, screengrabs, b-roll and soundbites
• Help make selects on unit photography wide edits
• Organize and caption photography key sets
• Pull screengrabs and film clips from final features
• Do light photo retouching as needed, and work with photo editing vendor for extensive retouching projects
• Manage and update Searchlight press site and product preview
• Help manage Photo and EPK budgets across all films, process invoices and track payment for vendors
• Provide EPK vendors with assets to cut featurettes, including feature files, music cues, trailers, graphics, one sheets and title treatments
• Keep Searchlight Wiredrive organized and create pitching and download links to materials
• Coordinate logisitics for talent interviews and content days
• Coordinate logistics for film festival photo studios
• Hire photographers and house crew for premieres and events, and distribute footage to press immediately following event (both domestic and international)
• Oversee finishing of featurettes and film clips after approvals are in, monitor finishing and vaulting of EPK masters and placement on EPK.tv, press site and Searchlight YouTube
• Create press blasts via EPK.tv
• Create and update materials release timelines for each film
• Work with agencies and press to send final materials for exclusive debuts
• Act as liason between press and EPK vendor to ensure materials are finished in requested specs
• Service non-exclusive material on a request basis to press, and/or direct requestors to press site for materials to download
• Manage special requests for footage and photography from films outside of the publicity window and traffic the requests through Legal clearance and Disney Archives
Basic Qualifications:
• 2 experience within entertainment industry with an emphasis on Publicity
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, InDesign, Premiere Pro, required
• Flexibility to travel and work weekends as requested
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines make decisions, and change course of action quickly
• Detail oriented with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
• Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills with the ability to work on many projects simultaneously
• Effective communicator, both verbally and written
• Ability to be proactive, resourceful and flexible
• Strong people skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team
