This position is based in Los Angeles, CA, and reports to the Director, Post Production & Media Operations. The Production Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a large group of operators and multiple projects, as required for Media Operations' asset management, dubbing, compression, QC, and delivery workflows. In conjunction with the Director and project management team, the role will be responsible for managing orders based on projects submitted by an internal Client Operations group. This includes assessing, validating, tracking, troubleshooting, and prioritizing projects to ensure orders are processed and delivered on time. The ideal candidate will have strong management experience overseeing complex workflows and larger groups of operators, in a media operations capacity.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
• Partnered with a second Production Manager, day to day management of a 50+ team of media operations employees
• Coordinate daily time and resource budget to ensure production deadlines are met
• Supervise personnel and equipment pipelines to maximize capacity
• With the Production Supervisor and project management team, manage the scheduling and assignment of orders to Dubbing and Media Services resources
• Effective communication with Client Operations, including managing expectations of due dates, as well as Media Services' groups for efficiency and understanding
• Work with the Media Services Onboarding team to transition workflows and coordinate production staff training
• Participate in rejection analysis and provide feedback to operators to set expectation benchmarks
• Manage changes and resolve issues while a project is underway
• Prioritize orders against capacity to meet production due dates
• Perform post mortem assessments to identify gaps in practices and improve procedures
• Develop and maintain a cohesive operation across all shifts and departments
• Mentor staff by supporting and developing personnel development
• Perform general administration duties as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivocal work experience
• 2+ years management experience in the entertainment industry at an administrative capacity or media operations
• Must be highly computer literate, displaying proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
• Experience with Filemaker Pro preferred
• Prior experience managing customer needs and projects preferred
