Full Time Job
This position is responsible for providing construct and validation expertise for the Global Media Services group. This includes but is not limited to; validating client metadata, conforming metadata to various customer platforms and validating the metadata against the final deliverable package contents to ensure accuracy, creating dub cards, perform asset updates on iTunes and delivering packages to multiple platforms. This position will also take on the duties of the Digital Asset Specialist 1 which includes but is not limited to; ingest, delivery, archiving and vault maintenance
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create dub cards to appear on-air, using cast lists provided by dubbing studios.
Aggregate client and project data.
Create well-formed XML, analyze, edit, correct, conform and validate metadata to meet deliverable platform specifications.
Facilitate creation of deliverable digital packages to various platforms
Maintain an accurate project status using SDI production management tools ensuring all team members can access accurate and timely information of asset status, location and history
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Required Experience
Experience with graphic software such as Adobe Photoshop preferred
Experience using content transformation applications such as Final Cut, Digital Rapids, Rhozet and Protools preferred
Experience using file transport technologies such as Aspera, Signiant, Smartjog and FTP preferred
Qualifications
Minimum of one year of experience in the video/audio operational field.
Possess a high degree of knowledge surrounding video, audio, metadata, tools and the post-production environment.
Knowledge of the technical specifications and their uses i.e. codecs, wrappers, VBI, closed captioning, frame rates, aspect ratios, bit rates, color space, GOP structures, standards conversion and metadata.
Understanding of digital media, frame rates, containers and standards.
Experience with XML editors, schemas and terminology
Possess an understanding of video and audio content, be able to evaluate and classify defects or anomalies in video, audio program material and metadata.
Experience with both Macintosh and Windows OS.
Understanding of IP addressing, permissions, networking concepts and terminology.
Job Related Education:
High school diploma or equivalent and one of the following:
On the job experience
Audio/Video trade school certification
Audio/Video college degree
