Job Description:
Scripps Networks Interactive, the leader in lifestyle media bringing you popular TV networks such as HGTV, DIY Network and Travel Channel is seeking a Digital Production Coordinator in New York, New York to assist our digital team. This organized go getter will help traffic and manage the flow of video deliverables through all phases of production - from inception to launch for all our SNI digital brand's video across HGTV.com, Foodnetwork.com, TravelChannel.com and more for both on and off-platform.
YOUR OPPORTUNITY
• Maintain, update and track video delivery schedule across brands.
• On-board and setup 3rd Party Production Companies
• Process and publish all videos delivering from Internal/External Editors and 3rd Party Production Companies - includes requesting metadata and images through the respective teams and working closely with content editors, producers and video operations.
• Maintain department project files and hard drives
• Support Production Manager in logistical planning, budgeting, and administrative upkeep includes reviewing and negotiating budgets, schedules and deliverables lists.
• Collaborate with Production Manager to maintain and distribute Production and Post-Production Calendars
• Manage the coordination and scheduling, and booking of all post-production sessions (facilities, editors, producers, audio mixes, etc.) and maintain production calendar.
• Oversee the post-production process to ensure producers are maintaining production schedules and staying within their allocated production budgets
• Clearly communicate anticipated and unanticipated problems and assist in trouble-shooting and help resolve.
• Draft and maintain all paperwork for shoots and internal productions, including, but not limited to Call Sheets, Schedules, IC Paperwork, Contracts
• Process & track all invoice payments
• Establish and maintain relationships with Creative Team, Video Operations Team, Editorial Team, Social Team, Ad Sales and Business and Legal Affairs.
• Work with Production Director and Manager to maximize resources and find efficiencies.
• Assist Production Director and Manager on ad-hoc assignments
• Maintain Digital Video Production Handbook
YOU
• You have 2 years of experience in digital video programming and production with Bachelor's degree in production, communications, marketing or a related field strongly desired.
• You are a self-starter and strong teammate who can work independently and responsibly.
• You monitor timelines and adjust work as needed to achieve incredible success.
• You are a strong spoken/written communicator with the ability to develop creative, clear, and concise storytelling for a variety of audiences
• You have excellent organizational and time management skills and rock at managing multiple assignments at once.
• You're just as passionate as we are about our brands (Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel and more
• Experience in Premiere (video codecs and platforms), Adobe Suite, Excel, Sharepoint and Content Management Systems is a plus.
