Description
Music Recording Studio offering an audio engineering internship with minimum of 20 hrs/wk for the right candidate with a flexible schedule. This is a hands-on unpaid internship allowing involvement in virtually every aspect of the studio environment. You will be assisting a Grammy-Certified studio Owner/Producer who is world renowned for Music Production and contributions in the field of Sound Design. This special candidate will assist with a wide range of audio workflows & techniques, including Tracking, Mixing, Mastering, and Sound Design. Exposure to Recording Sessions, Synthesis, Track Enhancement, Virtual Instrument & Audio Processing Plugins, Music Production Insights, Audio Problem Solving, Mixing Consoles, EQ's, Compressors, Signal Processors, Signal Path & Topologies, Pro Tools Ultimate, other DAWs and Analog Tape workflows. Our interns work closely with clients and staff members to gain valuable experience in their chosen field while contributing their talent and energy to the Scott Frankfurt Studio mission. Responsibilities
Candidate will participate in the day-to-day operations of the studio, including: Session Set-Up & Breakdown, Assistant Engineering for recording sessions, Production Assistance, Equipment Maintenance, Accommodating Clients, Running Errands, General Studio Maintenance & Cleanliness.
Requirements
Must be a graduate or student of a college with an audio or music emphasis or technical school specializing in audio. Interns may receive academic credit if an agreement is made between the studio and the intern's college or university. Pro Tools experience required. Pro Tools certification is desired. Must possess a reliable vehicle and valid CA driver's license. Must have a professional demeanor, understand studio etiquette and be able to interact appropriately with industry pros in a specialized environment with ease and sincerity. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. without trouble.
