We are looking for an Unreal Technical Director who will work with the Real-Time team to develop content for film, VR, and virtual production. As an Unreal Technical Director, you will support on-set virtual production to create immersive real-time experiences for film production.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and optimize Unreal Engine workflows across our Virtual Production and VFX teams
• Create procedural tools and workflows using Blueprints and Python
• Partner with the Real-Time Development team for feature testing and implementation
• Work with a variety of departments including VAD, Capture, R&D, and Stage to define project requirements and solutions
• Ensure the stability and reliability of Unreal Engine-based systems and projects
• Identify and solve systematic problems with tools, plug-ins, pipeline, and overall workflow development for Unreal Engine users
Minimum Qualifications • 3 years of Unreal Engine experience including; building, debugging, and supporting complex setups
• Proven Python programming experience
• Strong knowledge and experience with Shotgrid
• Understanding of production workflow, project management, and scheduling
• Knowledge of relational database design and implementation
Preferred Qualifications • Exceptional technical skills, the ability to learn new software quickly, and a keenness to stay on the leading edge
• Strong willingness to grow, learn new methods, and share knowledge with others
• Ability to work and solve technical issues independently
• Ability to take direction positively, work well within a team, and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn
• Flexible and able to work in a frequently changing environment
