En tant qu'Ingénieur(e) logiciel USD, vous exploiterez votre vaste connaissance de USD pour guider l'équipe vers des solutions éprouvées en production et résoudre des défis complexes pour les outils, les plug-ins et les flux de travail. Vous devriez connaître les arcs de composition de USD par cœur, ainsi que les considérations de performance et les compromis.

As a USD Software Engineer, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of USD to guide the team toward production-proven solutions and solve complex challenges for tools, plug-ins and workflows. You should know the USD composition arcs by heart as well as performance considerations and tradeoffs.

Principales responsabilités/ Key Responsibilities
• Concevoir, construire et résoudre des problèmes complexes et systématiques dans le domaine des outils, des plug-ins et des flux de travail USD
• Recueillir des exigences dans le cadre de collaborations importantes qui couvrent plusieurs départements et/ou disciplines
• Rédiger des notes techniques et de la documentation pour les utilisateurs
• Collaborer avec la direction du développement logiciel et l'équipe de pipeline pour identifier et planifier les tâches
• Architect, design, build and solve complex, systematic problems in the domain of USD tools, plug-ins, and workflows
• Gather requirements across large collaboration efforts that span multiple departments and/or disciplines
• Write technical briefs and user documentation
• Partner with software development leadership and pipeline team to identify and schedule tasks

Qualifications

• Expert en développement Python
• Compétent en développement C/C++
• Solides compétences en communication écrite et verbale
• Expérience dans la conception d'un pipeline de production USD
• Compréhension approfondie des structures et des flux de travail de l'USD, tels que les arcs de composition, les charges utiles, les schémas, les résolveurs d'actifs et les clips de valeurs
• Expérience de l'intégration de USD dans au moins l'un des DCC suivants: Maya, Houdini, Nuke
• Compréhension de la gestion des versions au sein de l'écosystème USD
• Connaissance experte de Maya
• Familiarité avec le projet open source maya-usd
• Connaissance experte de Houdini
• Solide connaissance de l'environnement Windows/Linux
• Connaissance de SQL et capacité à rédiger des schémas
• Expérience avec la méthodologie Agile
• Expert in Python development
• Proficient in C/C++ development
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience designing a production-proven USD pipeline
• Deep understanding of USD structures and workflows, such as composition arcs, payloads, schemas, asset resolvers, and value clips
• Experience integrating USD into at least one of the following DCC's: Maya, Houdini, Nuke
• Understanding of version management within the USD ecosystem
• Expert knowledge of Maya
• Familiarity with maya-usd open source project
• Expert knowledge of Houdini
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux environment
• Knowledge of SQL and ability to author schemas
• Experience with Agile methodology
