Creative Partnerships & Business Development Manager
Part-Time | Remote | Freelance/Contract
About the Role
We’re seeking a strategic, well-connected, and proactive Creative Partnerships & Business Development Manager to identify and develop high-impact opportunities that advance Sarah’s artistic career and commercial reach.
This is not a traditional sales or high-volume outreach position. We’re looking for someone who understands the value of selective, high-leverage partnerships with established musicians, major entertainment companies, leading brands, galleries, and cultural institutions.
The ideal candidate can independently conceptualize creative partnerships, develop compelling pitches, and build relationships with influential decision-makers.
A key focus will be expanding Sarah’s live painting practice into major performance opportunities, including collaborations with touring musicians, festivals, and live entertainment productions.
The goal is to secure meaningful projects that elevate her artistic profile, strengthen her positioning in both music and fine art, and create sustainable revenue opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnerships & Business Development
* Identify and pursue high-value collaborations with established musicians, record labels, management companies, festivals, brands, galleries, and cultural institutions.
* Build relationships with influential decision-makers across music, entertainment, and contemporary art.
* Develop targeted outreach strategies prioritizing quality, relevance, and long-term career impact over volume.
* Identify opportunities for live painting performances, brand activations, exhibitions, commissions, and licensing.
Creative & Commercial Strategy
* Independently conceptualize, develop, and pitch partnerships bridging contemporary fine art, music, and entertainment.
* Develop creative concepts and proposals for high-profile live performances, including potential integrations with major tours and festivals.
* Work directly with Sarah to identify opportunities aligned with her artistic vision and long-term goals.
* Evaluate partnerships based on strategic fit, artistic impact, visibility, and revenue potential.
Relationship & Opportunity Management
* Initiate and maintain conversations with prospective partners.
* Manage outreach, introductions, proposals, and follow-ups.
* Advance qualified opportunities toward negotiations and signed agreements.
* Maintain an organized pipeline and provide regular progress updates.
Ideal Candidate
* 3+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, artist management, entertainment, or creative agencies.
* Demonstrated success developing meaningful commercial partnerships.
* Strong understanding of music, entertainment, contemporary art, or experiential marketing.
* Demonstrated creative and strategic thinking, with the ability to develop compelling concepts connecting fine art and music.
* Comfortable independently pitching original collaboration ideas to established artists, brands, and cultural institutions.
* Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
* Strong judgment in identifying opportunities with significant artistic and commercial potential.
* Self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable working within a small creative business.
Highly Desirable
* Existing relationships with music industry professionals, artist managers, record labels, galleries, or major brands.
* Experience securing partnerships with established artists, entertainment companies, or cultural organizations.
* Experience developing live performance activations, sponsorships, or experiential projects.
* Understanding of long-term artist positioning and career development.

* Established relationships and initiated conversations with qualified partners.
* Identified promising opportunities to expand Sarah’s live painting into major music and entertainment settings.

* Advanced promising opportunities toward proposals, negotiations, or confirmed projects.
