Overview-
Spurs Sports and Entertainment is seeking an experienced Manager of Social Media to lead the social team, innovative vision, and social voice for our family of brands. This role is responsible for engaging our passionate global fans, planning the content calendar, covering games, interacting with fans across all major social platforms, and monitoring performance and trends to optimize strategy across all franchises. This position is also responsible for collaborating with internal departments like public relations, marketing, and sponsorship to support their respective goals while ensuring consistency in voice and a focus on creating an engaged social community. Ideal candidates will be energetic leaders, superb communicators, highly organized, and constantly current on social media trends and analysis.
Responsibilities

*Craft and implement an innovative social media strategy and unique voice for all brands in the SS&E family to engage our passionate global audience
• Plan long-term content vision and distribution strategy for all major social media platforms, tailoring strategy by platform and audience
• Maintain content calendar and communicate plans with all appropriate stakeholders
• Analyze, track, and optimize social media strategy by leveraging existing social performance measurement tools, league reporting, and internal analytics resources
• Demonstrate knowledge of current social and digital trends, understanding of SS&E business goals, and constant creativity
• Align all decisions with SS&E Corporate Values and Service Mantra
• Oversee and develop full-time staff that are responsible for communicating with fans, respond to queries in a timely manner, and monitor fan sentiment
• Consistently communicate performance of social content with a focus on current trends and on how social media is deepening our brands' relationships with fans
• Collaborate with other departments to implement campaigns that fit within brand standards and align with business goals
• Brainstorm and assist in executing sponsor social activations with a focus on creating engaging content for fans
• Support game and event coverage through maximizing team staffing resources
• Serve as a key part of digital department leadership to guide the long-term communication strategy for our brands
• Assist in owning and ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to in a social and digital setting
Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 5 years working in social and digital media
• Minimum of 2 years staff leadership experience
• Deep understanding of major and emerging social channels
• Comprehensive understanding of digital communications landscape including content development and distribution, influencer marketing, user-generated content, promotions, and sweepstakes
• Must illustrate proficiency in analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of digital content, and can justify content roadmap or certain content initiatives by building a case through data
• A strong sense of current events, pop culture, social trends and memes, particularly as they relate to the regional market, and qualities that tie-in well with the Spurs brand
• Excellent writing, storytelling, and creative content development abilities
• Team-oriented attitude, receptive to constructive feedback from multiple sources
• Advanced knowledge of content management and publishing platforms; experience with Sprinklr, and like platforms is a plus
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive with strong project management skills. Can effectively manage resources and prioritize tasks. Competent solutions-oriented thinker and problem-solver
• Track record of hiring, supervising, training and developing high-performing social media staff
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills required. Experience in presenting ideas and performance to large groups
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for sports and experience working in a sports environment strongly preferred
