Overview

The Spurs Sports & Entertainment internship program is designed to offer qualified candidates the ability to receive hands-on business experience with a professional sports team. This position will give the candidate an opportunity top learn more about and gain experience in human resources, public relations, sports information, journalism and business relations.

Responsibilities

This Internship will provide the opportunity to:
• Provide assistance, backup, and support to the assigned department within SS&E
• Research, analyze and articulate orally and in writing facts, figures and information
• Participate in all training and activities throughout the summer
• Provide support with proposal writing and design
• General administrative work and errands
• Handle troubleshooting issues and, when possible, provide direction internally for assistance.
• Create and maintain files.
• Initiate and be willing to take on responsibilities beyond the scope of the job description.
• Various projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Attending four-year college/university (or recent graduate)
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point and other computer skills required.
• Highly organized and great attention to detail
• Self-starter, highly motivated individual
• Ability to work as a team player while being open and willing to learn.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, some holidays, and event nights.
• Ability to handle pressures of fast paced work environment and work well under pressure and within deadlines
