As a team leader of Spurs Sports & Entertainment’s Creative Studio, this position is responsible for leading the strategic creative vision for all SS&E brands [Spurs (NBA), Austin Spurs (NBA G-League), San Antonio FC (USL), Spurs Give & Frost Bank Center]. This role is responsible for conceptualizing, directing, presenting and producing high-quality, on-brand creative across a variety of media including video, live events, LED boards, web, social media, mobile app, print, radio, outdoor, collateral, merchandising and more. This position is responsible for the oversight of the in-house Creative Studio, workflow processes and the operational readiness of the creative staff. Ideal candidates will be self-starters with a passion for sports and have an ability to lead/grow a creative team.
Leading a shared-service department, eligible candidates will work with a diverse group of internal stakeholders and external vendors to maximize fan engagement opportunities and drive results consistent with the organization’s short and long-term strategic priorities.
What You’ll Do:
• Drive and articulate the overarching creative vision – Serve as a senior creative leader responsible for shaping and championing the creative direction across all Spurs Sports & Entertainment brands. Ensure the creative output consistently reflects brand values, engages target audiences, and supports organizational goals.
• Steward brand integrity and voice – Own and evolve brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all properties while adapting to audience needs and cultural relevance. Define and maintain the unique tone, look, and feel of each brand under the SS&E umbrella.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align creative strategy with business goals – Partner closely with Marketing, Game Presentation, Content Studio, Content Strategy, and other internal stakeholders to develop and execute integrated creative strategies that meet campaign objectives, drive fan engagement, and deliver measurable results.
• Lead creative campaign development with a results-driven mindset – Oversee the concepting, development, and production of high-impact marketing campaigns and materials. Ensure all creative executions are aligned with KPIs such as audience reach, engagement, conversion, and ROI.
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing creative team – Lead and inspire a diverse team of creative professionals. Establish and continuously improve creative processes, workflows, and department standards. Provide clear direction, regular feedback, and opportunities for professional development to support team growth and success.
• Champion innovation and creative excellence – Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and audience behaviors to ensure the creative team is delivering cutting-edge, culturally relevant work. Encourage experimentation, risk-taking, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Who You Are:
• Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience working in a creative studio with leadership background.
• 4-6 years of experience managing full-time staff with key responsibilities in supporting creative & marketing initiatives.
• Strong understanding of brand-centric marketing.
• Excellent communications, management and collaborative skills.
• Sports marketing experience preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Software Suite.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point and other computer skills required.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, proactively problem solve and be highly organized.
• Ability to work long, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
• Standing for extended periods of time.
• Occasionally lifting, carrying or moving boxes of items related to events.
• Being in or around live event environments with loud noise.
