What will I Do?

You will work in an excellent new ballpark, with a great team, creating lasting memories for our guests and fans. You will be responsible for the Grounds Crew; overseeing the preparation and maintenance of The Ballpark at America First Square (full season) and Smith's Ballpark (through June 1 for University of Utah games).

The Seasonal Field Operation Assistant will:
• Effectively assist in managing and training part-time Grounds Crew teammates.
• Assist with batting practice set up and tear down
• Assist with all day-to-day practices concerning the turf, skin, mound, plate, bullpens, warning track, fertilizer application, etc.
• Prepare field for game and conduct post-game clean up
• Ensure that industry quality standards and specifications for the playing surface are met or exceeded
• Safely and successfully operate machinery

What are the requirements of the Job?

We want to give our guests the best sporting experience possible. To do this, our jobs demand reliability, positivity, and hard work. We believe you have what it takes to make a great impact!
• Experience in sports turf management preferred
• Experience managing a team preferred.
• Interest in field maintenance
• Must be able to communicate in English
• Work under fast paced, high stress situations
• Often required to work long hours and be available when needed or as business requires (including holidays, nights and weekends)
• Must be able to work most home games (approximately 100 games) and non-Bees games (occurrence is variable)
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and weeknights

What are the hourly rates?

This position pays at $16.00/hour.

Is this part-time or full-time?

This is a seasonal (Spring-November) Full-time position. Overtime may be available.
