What will I Do?
We work in one of the most beautiful ballparks, with a great team, creating lasting memories for our guests and fans. You will be responsible for the Grounds Crew; overseeing the preparation and maintenance of the field at Smith's Ballpark.
The Seasonal Field Operation Assistant will:
• Effectively assist in managing and training part-time Grounds Crew teammates.
• Assist with batting practice set up and tear down
• Assist with all day-to-day practices concerning the turf, skin, mound, plate, bullpens, warning track, fertilizer application, etc.
• Prepare field for game and conduct post-game clean up
• Ensure that industry quality standards and specifications for the playing surface are met or exceeded
• Safely and successfully operate machinery
• Support the building of a diverse culture that enriches the lives of our employees, guests, partners and communities

What are the requirements of the Job?
We want to give our guests the best sporting experience possible. To do this, our jobs demand reliability, positivity, and hard work. We believe you have what it takes to make a great Field Operations Assistant!
• Experience in sports turf management preferred
• Experience managing a team preferred.
• Interest in field maintenance
• Must be able to communicate in English
• Work under fast paced, high stress situations
• Often required to work long hours and be available when needed or as business requires (including holidays, nights and weekends)
• Must be able to work most home games (approximately 100 games) and non-Bees games (occurrence is variable)
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and weeknights
What are the hourly rates?
This position starts at $15.00/hour.
Is this part-time or full-time?
This is a seasonal (March-Thanksgiving) Full-time position. Overtime is available.
This position typically starts the last week of February/first week of March. Applications and interviews are being conducted now to prepare for the 2024 season.
