Salem Media Group Boston (WROL950AM and 100.3FM) The Irish Hit Parade and A Feast of Irish Music is seeking a dynamic and engaging on air personality for their LIVE weekend show. The ideal candidate would join an exclusive group to host a segment of Boston's famous 54-year-old weekend program, The Irish Hit Parade and A Feast of Irish Music. This candidate would be required to work a minimum of a 3 hours shift on a Saturday or Sunday.

Brief Overview of Responsibilities:

Radio/Stream host
Commercial production
Station appearances
On-air content development
Social media engagement - attracting friends, followers, and fans on social media networks to station specifications
Qualifications:

Prior on-air experience
Deep knowledge of Boston and the Irish music scene and Irish music
Understanding of the Irish American culture and traditions
Strong writing skills
Desire to work in a creative environment
Technical Aspects:

Knowledge of how a operate a Radio Board
Must be comfortable working with a computer since using our automation software is what we use to ensure our commercial breaks are airing each hour.
Must keep track of music aired each show so we can accurately report to BMI each quarter.
Comfortable with multi-tasking - balancing on air host duties with entry level production tasks such as taking phone calls in real time, managing commercial breaks, queuing up the next song, etc...
Brief knowledge of recording software (example: adobe audition)
An understanding of how to structure a radio program so that the listener is continually engaged (not front loading or back loading a show, keeping it balanced).
