POSITION PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the National Director, Digital Strategies and the Senior Video Specialist, the Video Production Manager will support all video/audio production, digital media programs, initiatives and strategies. The production manager will provide video scheduling and management, asset coordination, production, scripting, approvals, video cataloging; and digital content research and planning assistance to the Communications & Marketing team; along with some administrative duties.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for scheduling and production of all SAG-AFTRA videos and podcasts.
• Work with team to ensure completion of video & audio production activities within department.
• Gather, collect and seek approvals on all clips and video/audio assets.
• Serve as chief interviewer at video panels, parties, seminars red carpet events (off camera).
• Work with the Senior Video Specialist to organize and maintain a digital video system, as well as to archive content (including photos, publications and press materials).
• Download and maintain video & photo metadata (MAM).
• Research and recommend appropriate photos and video clips to team.
• Responsible for managing SAG-AFTRA YouTube channel, Facebook, IGTV, etc, including but not limited to uploading videos, writing descriptions, adding key word tags and title.
• Assist with coordinating events within the department, including photo/video shoots, red carpet wrangling and social media content/strategy.
• Secure all approvals and releases and maintain library of said approvals.
• Proof graphics and lower thirds; edit captions and scripts.
• Maintain database of freelancers; handle invoicing and payments to vendors.
• Secure locations, handle rentals and insurance.
• License music, stock footage and graphics.
• Help create digital strategies to build social media channels and increase SEO.
• Assist with preparing and breaking down various photo/video sets.
• Interview members and staff for specific video assignments.
• Generate reports and analytics
• Post content and updates to website and social media
• Must be able to effectively interface with members and staff on a regular basis.
• Performs other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

EXPECTATIONS:
• Possess deep understanding of what makes a good, strong, quality video.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record of managing video production, scripting, video shoots, video files.
• Understanding of online content management systems, such as our MAM, Lightroom and Screenlight.
• Knowledge of computers/Internet/social media best practices.

• Must be available and willing to work extended hours (and/or overtime for applicable non-exempt positions) per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
• Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
and/or Experience:
• BA/BS degree in journalism, communications, marketing or film/video production preferred.
• At least two years prior video production or communications experience, along with knowledge/interest in the entertainment industry.
• Sound recording skills a plus.
• Prior sales/customer relations experience a plus.
• Good working knowledge of public relations standards and practices a plus.
• Experience with basic media relations practices and relevant software a plus.
