Strike Organizer (Temp)
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do

• Working to keep picket lines effective and mobile.
• Coordinating with existing SAG-AFTRA leaders on plans.
• Identifying and developing leaders to participate in strike organizing efforts.
• Communicating with members and allies about the strike
• Coordinating with members and Allies to gather information.
• Coordinating with HQ staff to restock picket line supply vans

• Willingness to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
• Capacity to work independently and with a team.
• The ability to make and follow through on a work plan.
• Sharp communications skills.
• Basic writing and computer skills.
• The ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
and/or Experience:
• A demonstrated commitment to social justice is required.
• Previous experience in union, community organizing or student organizing is highly desirable.
Certificates, licenses, and/or registrations:
• Must have a current driver license, automobile (in reliable working condition)
• Possess current automobile insurance that meets state minimum requirements
Physical Requirements
• Lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects
• Kneel, stoop, crouch, bend or twist
• Walk for long periods of time
• Stand for long periods of time
• Keep or regain balance
