Full Time Job
POSITION PURPOSE: The Program Manager, Membership Services serves actor/performers by responding to inquiries regarding membership eligibility requirements/verification, discussing joining fees, reviewing application materials, processing applications and assisting Executive Staff in overall actor/performer membership maintenance for the Washington-Mid Atlantic region. This position also assists the Entertainment Contracts Department in the office and in the field, serving actor/performer members at events, membership meetings, film festivals and panel discussions.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Respond to all phone and email inquiries from actor/performers concerning membership eligibility, joining fees and application materials, active membership accounts or billing inquiries.
• Receive, review and process actor/performer membership applications.
• Process cast clearance requests for all entertainment contract projects, record all Taft-Hartley reports in database and perform similar duties as assigned by the Entertainment Contracts Department.
• Responsible for maintaining functions of the Reinstatement Obligation Review Committee (RORC), including minutes for the Committee, on behalf of all actor/performers seeking reinstatement of membership.
• Maintain WMA Member Conservatory self-tape audition reservation calendar and audition readers’ co-op.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Staff.
Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Detail oriented and able to organize and coordinate detailed multiple tasks under daily deadlines, work under pressure, able to prioritize tasks and take direction from more than one supervisor.
• Excellent computer skills and able to use PC applications, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Superlative interpersonal skills, high degree of patience and tact and be able to cultivate respectful, strategic and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds both internally and externally.
• Must be familiar with standard office equipment and operations.
• Dedication to workers’ rights and social justice.
• Must be able to work in a challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged. Teamwork is a necessity.
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA’s sole discretion.
• Must be available and willing to work extended hours (and/or overtime for applicable non-exempt positions) per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
3-4 years of formal training or education beyond high school.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND:
Experience working in a busy office with office administration a plus.
Background in detailed job with strong computer skills and multiple tasking.
Experience working in a union environment a plus.
