POSITION PURPOSE:
The National Director, Voiceover administers, enforces and supports contracts related to Voiceover work by SAG-AFTRA members. S/he represents SAG-AFTRA within the Voiceover community and the Voiceover department internally within the union. The National Director sets the strategic direction for the Voiceover department in consultation with other senior staff, manages and develops department staff and innovates new ways to deliver services effectively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide overall direction for organizing of employers and enforcement, through creation of a strategic plan and development of goals, for the Voiceover staff.
• Establish and maintain consistent interpretation and enforcement of the various contracts related to Voiceover work.
• Provide high level substantive and leadership assistance to Chief Contracts Officer and other senior staff.
• Maintain high level of industry knowledge through consistent study. Share critical developments.
• Participate in the wages and working conditions and the negotiations process related to various contracts involving Voiceover including, recommendations to chief negotiator.
• Take the lead on Outreach to various groups related to Interactive, Promo Trailers and Dubbing initially and eventually to the broader community of voice actors.This work will include development with staff on training and other Member engagement activities to foster stronger communities in these areas.
• Drive primary relationship with national industry representatives and conduct other meetings with the industry; maintain productive working relations with Industry members.
• Negotiate with industry representatives concerning major waivers in preparation for presentation to applicable committee. Prepare presentations to standing committees and national board.
• Act as Staff Liaison to the Voiceover Committee. In that capacity, work closely with member leadership to successfully manage meetings including scheduling, agenda development, procedural assistance, capturing actions, proper information dissemination and appropriate follow through. Act in advisory capacity generally with appropriate member committees.
• Participate in or act as Liaison to various Member committees related to Voiceover work.
• Act as one of the leaders of the Contracts Division. Actively work to build Contracts team. Consistent and appropriate levels of communication to senior management as well as peers in Contracts Division.
• Lead and develop Voiceover Contract staff team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Advanced level of management experience and demonstrated leadership skills required to effectively manage and develop team and individual contributors.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Able to mediate disputes and negotiate with tact under pressure.

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Have an understanding and awareness of worker rights impacting SAG-AFTRA members.

• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA’s sole discretion.
• Must be available and willing to work extended hours (and/or overtime for applicable non- exempt positions) per day or per week, including weekends and holidays as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
• Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
and/or Experience:
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
• 3 -5 years management/supervisory experience.
• Extensive experience with collective bargaining agreements strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of entertainment industry preferred.
Certificates, licenses, and/or registrations:
• Must have a current driver license, passport, automobile (in reliable working condition), and current automobile insurance that meets the state minimum requirements.
