Manager, Contracts & Member Services (Dallas-Fort Worth Local)
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
The Manager of Contracts and Member Services, Dallas-Fort Worth, works closely with the Executive Director, Dallas-Fort Worth, to provide administrative, operational, and educational and outreach support to the Locals served through the Dallas-Fort worth Local office. This person will be expected to work productively with performers, agents, producers, various members of the industry, and Local and National staff. As a highly visible member of the Contracts and Member Services team , you will be tasked with the following areas of responsibility:
• Works to support and cultivate member leadership, including Local boards and committees to facilitate programming/workshops for members and industry.
• Works to develop employer relationships and organize local and regional work under various union contracts.
• Fields contract questions and facilitates communication with business representatives. Supports the administration and enforcement of collective bargaining agreements. Conducts research and creates reports related to contract initiatives.
• Establishes and maintains regular communications with SAG-AFTRA members including outreach, composing newsletters, print and email communications, plus training and guidance.
• Develops and maintains SAG-AFTRA’s relationships with selected industry stakeholders and strategic partners, including SAG-AFTRA members and staff, entertainment unions, labor and community organizations (e.g., state/ local affiliates of the AFL-CIO), etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

• Have an understanding and awareness of worker rights impacting SAG-AFTRA members.
• Capable of taking direction from more than one supervisor.
• Must be able to work in a challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA’s sole discretion.
• Must be available and willing to work extended hours (and/or overtime for applicable non- exempt positions) per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
• Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in relevant field from an accredited college/university and 5 years applicable experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
• 5 -7 years management/supervisory experience, preferred.
• Experience with problem solving and teamwork in an organizational setting.

Preference will be given to candidates that possess:
• Knowledge of entertainment industry, as well as issues affecting creative artists and professional workers, strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a union environment a plus.
