POSITION PURPOSE:
SAG-AFTRA, the world's leading entertainment union, seeks an experienced web Video Specialist to create dynamic videos that will advance the union's overall communications goals. Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Digital Strategy, Communications & Marketing the Video Specialist will be responsible for writing, producing, directing and editing digital video segments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and create a variety of standard format videos and webisodes that will communicate the Guild's various initiatives in an effective and compelling manner.
• Produce, direct, shoot and edit all videos for online and DVD or other distribution.
• Work closely with Chief Communications & Marketing Officer, Senior Manager, Digital Strategy and other key staff to strategically utilize video content online and in other distributions.
• Manage all digital video files. Upload videos to the SAG-AFTRA YouTube Channel for review and approval.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
(The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.)
• Comfortable serving as a camera person, director, editor and motion graphics artist.
• Expertise creating and editing short form video productions for web and other distributions.
• Experienced cinematographer with Canon, DSLR and HD background preferred.
• Expert knowledge in the following tools and equipment: Adobe Creative Cloud, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro 6/7, audio editing and high definition video.
• Proficiency in creating motion graphics with After Effects.
• Cinema 4D, Maya or 3D Max experience is a plus.
• Creative mindset to generate fresh and exciting content.
• Skill in meeting with others to assess needs, develop concepts/storyboards and carry through to finished product.
• Ability to manage multiple and conflicting deadlines and coordinate organized project plans.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
• Able to accurately type 35 WPM
• Able to use PC applications
• Detail oriented
• Able to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks under daily deadlines
• Able to work under pressure
• Superlative interpersonal skills: high degree of patience and tact. Must be able to cultivate respectful, strategic and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds both internally and externally
• Have an understanding and awareness of worker rights impacting SAG-AFTRA members
• Hold yourself and others accountable for a high level of performance and integrity
• Capable of taking direction from more than one supervisor
• Must be able to work in a challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA's sole discretion
• Must be available and willing to work extended hours (and/or overtime for applicable non- exempt positions) per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs
• Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs
