About the SAG-AFTRA Foundation
The SAG-AFTRA Foundation actively supports SAG-AFTRA artists through the triumphs and struggles that are inherent to the pursuit of professional success as a performer. As a 501(c)3 national non-profit, we provide indispensable avenues of emergency financial aid when medical and personal crises strike and offer academic scholarships to SAG-AFTRA artists and their dependents. We also provide training, education and other resources to help both new and veteran professionals refine their professional skills. We understand that performing artists live and work in a rapidly changing entertainment media environment, and it is imperative that our actors, voiceover artists, broadcasters, dancers, and others understand evolving industry trends, are provided the tools necessary to navigate these changes successfully, and are given the opportunity to improve their skill sets throughout their careers. All of these programs directly contribute to our commitment to fostering the long-term stability, self-sufficiency, and financial independence of our performing artists. In addition, the Foundation is dedicated to advancing children's literacy with our outward facing, Emmy- nominated Storyline Online program.
