As the Manager, Sports Sales Training, you'll not only lead and mentor a class of high-potential sales talent - you'll also play a key role in driving ticket sales for Major League Baseball's Athletics at Sutter Health Park, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape the fan experience for a major league franchise.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Training
• Lead, coach, and develop a full-time Catalyst class of early-career sales professionals.
• Design and deliver weekly training sessions, one-on-one coaching, and real-time feedback loops.
• Instill a culture of unreasonable hospitality by training team members to deliver personalized, above-and-beyond service - ensuring every product and program recommendation is thoughtfully tailored to meet each customer's unique needs and goals.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Collaborate with Kings & Athletics sales & ticketing leadership to align training with broader organizational best practices.
• Responsible for recruiting, performance evaluations and separations as needed.
Sales Execution
• Personally contribute to ticket sales revenue across River Cats and Athletics inventory, including suites, premium packages, memberships, and group sales.
• Oversee lead generation, distribution, and conversion strategies using data-driven insights.
• Set and manage individual and team sales goals, ensuring consistent performance and growth.
• Represent the organization professionally at games, events, and client meetings.
Sales Enablement & Technology
• Champion the use of advanced sales tools, including AI-based prospecting and outreach, CRM optimization, and digital engagement platforms.
• Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to improve sales efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure team proficiency in CRM systems, ticketing platforms, and reporting tools.
Program Development
• Help shape and evolve the Catalyst curriculum based on industry trends, team needs, and individual development goals.
• Track and report on program outcomes, including sales performance, career progression, and skill development.
• Partner with HR and leadership on recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications

• Proven success in sports ticket sales with a track record of exceeding goals.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop others.
• Passion for innovation and comfort with emerging sales technologies and tools.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional customer service acumen.
• Ability to problem solve and find creative solutions with patience within a fast-paced and stressful environment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and sales enablement technologies
Education & Experience
• 1–3 years of experience in sports sales or related industries (entertainment, events, tourism).
• Experience leading peers or mentoring others in a sales environment strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
Additional Information
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the game and event schedule.
• Must be able to travel locally for client meetings and events.
• Physical requirements include prolonged periods of sitting, working on a computer, and occasional lifting up to 15 lbs.

Compensation:
This position is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role with an expected annual base pay of $50,000-$65,000 plus any earned commissions, sales bonuses, and overtime. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
