Interns are responsible for any relocation and/or housing expenses.
Job Summary: The Event Production Intern is responsible for assisting in the organization, execution, and production elements of Sacramento Kings and Golden 1 Center-related events, both in-arena and at off-site locations as directed by the Director of Events Sales and Production.
Key Responsibility Areas:
• Work with Kings event team to assist with the organization of events and support event managers with event prep, production, and breakdown
• Administrative lead on finance PO's, inventory, cataloging, storing of all event equipment and team assets
• Provide support with special projects, vendor research and RFP submittals
• Assist in the maintenance of all appropriate records and relationships with vendors
• Be accountable for on time deliverables of expected projects and events
• Performs all other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
• An interest in gaining professional experience in special event planning/management in a stadium, arena, hotel, convention center or public assembly facility setting.
• Can do attitude; ability to be on-time consistently and meet strict deadlines
• Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willingness and ability to pitch in (in any capacity) to ensure event success as well as success of the company
• Excellent time-management, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of working flexible hours such as nights and weekends as needed.
