Executive Producer – Game Presentation & Live Events
Department: AV, Broadcast Production & Arena Operations
Reports To: Vice President, AV & Broadcast Production
Location: Golden 1 Center – Sacramento, CA
(Position sits within the Sacramento Kings organization, supporting events at Golden 1 Center)
Position Summary
Are you a showrunner at heart with a passion for live sports entertainment? The Executive Producer of Game Presentation & Live Events will lead the Sacramento Kings in-arena experience from concept to execution, bringing world-class storytelling, energy, and creativity to Golden 1 Center.
This individual serves as the creative and operational lead for all Sacramento Kings home games and select arena events. They oversee the vision, coordination, and flawless execution of in-game content, storytelling, and fan engagement. As a key leader, the Executive Producer unifies creative, technical, and operational elements to deliver a dynamic and unforgettable experience. This role also contributes to broader entertainment productions hosted at the arena, including concerts, civic events, and national broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities
Game & Event Direction
• Serve as the lead show caller and producer for all Sacramento Kings home games and select arena events
• Direct all in-game presentation elements, including video board content, lighting cues, audio, PA, mascot, dancers, and partner activations
• Coordinate pregame rehearsals, tech checks, and run-of-show meetings to align all departments
Creative Strategy & Content Development
• Collaborate with creative teams to develop high-energy open videos, hype moments, theme nights, and fan-driven content
• Ensure content aligns with Kings brand standards and enhances the overall fan experience
• Lead brainstorming sessions and contribute creative direction for live programming and promotions
Team Leadership & Collaboration
• Manage and mentor production staff, including stage managers, show callers, and game night crew
• Act as a central communication hub between Game Presentation, Marketing, AV, Broadcast, and Basketball Operations
• Develop staffing plans, schedules, and training to ensure smooth execution across all events
Broadcast & Entertainment Integration
• Coordinate in-venue presentation with TV broadcast and league operations to ensure timing and content alignment
• Support integration of national TV elements, talent appearances, and in-game storytelling opportunities
• Oversee logistics for halftime shows, performances, and special entertainment acts
Production Planning & Innovation
• Build and maintain production timelines, scripts, and run-of-show documents
• Identify and implement new production technologies to elevate the fan experience
• Contribute to post-event recaps, video edits, and strategy improvements across all shows
Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience producing live sports or entertainment events, preferably in a professional or collegiate sports setting
• Proven experience directing multi-camera video board shows and coordinating with technical crews
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities in high-pressure, live environments
• Demonstrated ability to lead creative and production teams in a fast-paced, live event setting
• Deep understanding of sports entertainment trends, in-venue fan engagement, and live production technologies
• Strategic thinker with a track record of elevating fan experiences through innovation and insight
• Experience with show control systems, scripting platforms, and broadcast/broadcast integration tools
• Exceptional communication, organization, and time-management skills with high attention to detail
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours as needed
Compensation:
The offer range for this full-time, exempt role is $120,000 - $150,000 + eligibility for annual discretionary bonus. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
